By Invitation Only - Interlude

As the title reads, this is only meant to be shared between
My closest of friends, my kin, and whichever of you want to burn on the weeds
As my lady is laced in flowers, she has me thinking about the birds and the bees
Only to wonder if I sting her, afterwards would I still be able to hear her heart sing?
I only speak peace to most, vengeful words never leave
My throat, unless you've spoke to me about wanting to overdose
Just please, don't draw me into it -- I don't like your certain pen stroke
That depicts what you want a man to see when he only looks close
That's why the title is meant to be read on that note
Maybe a little past the margin, I love how every person I see as close has a quote
Be it Liz, "She never lost her smile, it's still right under her nose."
Or Ste'phon, "When the spotlight is on, I'm beginning to choke;
I hate how the only scars visible are the ones I see displaced from the smoke,
Residing on my inner lungs & throat."
Or Mai, MY love, "I love you more than you'll ever know..."
Or maybe I, "I only love you '[ ||| ]' that much!
Only so none can tear us apart when we're in the zone."
Why must I love you so?
Stay in tune with those words, they're the finale though the book won't close
Especially when this is lasting a lifetime or three -- Mai, I still love you most
So if you read this and your name was mentioned, I consider you friend
Or something more, she knows who she is
And if we haven't spoke in a while, best of wishes
I promise I'll call you up when time permits!
