Moving Backwards

Yet & still it feels better than it did
Knowing everything around isn't perforated
Even the serrated knifes ones used to touch me couldn't blood taint it
And one still loves the way I use words to relate it
Life comes with changes and those come three at a time
So I completed my cycle -- yes ma'am, love is colorblind
And he writes well enough to survive a drought
Eventually the rain will pour and the footprints will even out
The path one walks will be shrouded, and some will hate my decisions
With no exact precision, I still make them
So in due time, some will understand why I say this
I don't know if it's a mistake yet, or a road adjacent
