We came to a close again
Now all I can do is reminisce on times when the relationship wasn't closing in
The times when we were cooler than autumn breezes
And hotter than birthplace in July, chilling all the type-odd sneezes
You know, when we were opposite speechless
Things change quicker than when the accountant deposits dollars received in
Now I take you in as only being a demon
Lustful broad, every third night had you rubbin' and fiending
Yeah, I kept track and told you I never felt the love lack
But left when the time felt like I'd never get your rightful love back
That's called collapse, never thought I'd see a day when you deserved
Someone better than prideful apologies and movement in reverse
You were a queen in my eyes, and I was a ruler
For what it's worth, now I can't even measure that woman
True times in truth's eyes make assured I would do you slickly
I know you'd be lying if you claimed you didn't miss me
We both know the arrogant crown tends to fit me
And the garments laced in steadfast haste never heavy my frame
The way I said your name had you sprung; you were
Always saying my silence was golden...
But rather hear words slur off my silver tongue
God dammit, now look at what we've become
Trying to erase each other out of the lives we both promised we'd merge as one
Eventually, I guess I'll never see that day again
I have so much to say, but that's for another time old friend
(Now it's whatever you say.)
